I don't remember the last time I've felt the complete absence of stress. It feels so good. I have brownies baking in the oven right now. I'm about to make some coffee. I don't know what else can make this night better besides watching a movie wrapped up in my favorite blanket while hearing sparse moments of raindrops hitting the concrete. I'm happy.

Today I slept for 15 hours. I could have slept more but a family dinner that I haven't had for a while sounded better. First semester of my 3rd year at Otis has been the most work demanding, time juggling, sleep deprived 3.5 months of my life. But it was fun staying up, eating at 12am, and producing work late into the night with friends. Now I'm going to enjoy this winter break more than I've enjoyed any other break. It scares me to know that half my jr year is over and I'll soon be graduating and going into the real world. I'm just trying to think positive and that everything will fall into place with hard work and serious effort. Here a web project I worked on for my first web class.

1. Web Design 1 – For the final we had to create a website of our choice. I decided to make a website for cups — an ode to cups that I own and some interesting ones I found online and wish I owned. Here is the link.

The superficial part of me thinks the pasta would taste better cause of the packaging design. If only we lived in a world where this was the basic standard for packaging design...

Oh yeah, I had my first macaroon a day ago and was surprised at how good they really are. Before then I thought they were these little, overrated, overpriced, only cool cause everybody else was getting them desserts (and I still do), but they are pretty good. I knew there had to be a reason why people would spend so much for one minute of bliss.

New additions to my room - a picture frame I've yet to find the perfect picture for (but I kind of like it empty), wall shelves, my old desk I put into my room for the first time, and a cup for my iced coffees.

These were all taken with my blackberry while I visited the Bergamot Station in Santa Monica. So many galleries featuring so many artists it was overwhelming. The Gallery of Functional Art was probably the most interesting to me only because there were so many different, quirky handmade objects to ooh and ahh over. There were chairs made out of corks, coins, and glass jars which I found fascinating (unfortunately I don't have pictures of it). There was also a paper store with paper ranging from wood to rice and the norm. So amazing! There was this envelope made out of wood paper so it looks like a piece of thinly sliced wood and I wanted it so bad, but I don't write letters nor would I want to send my bills in them so I didn't get any (but I really really wanted it). Maybe I'll just have to start writing letters!
