Probably the most gratifying and amusing show I've ever seen. I've never once finished a series from beginning to end besides Pushing Daisies (no, not even The Office, Lost, Heroes, Chuck, and everything else cause somewhere along the show I lose interest..) but something about Dexter kept me watching until the end of season 4 and all of it within a span of 2 months. I'll be waiting for season 5 to air this year soon. Can't wait!

I thought I'd venture out from my usual genre of movies, so I opted for this 1980's film
"The Elephant Man"
This was different and it was sad. Most definitely something I've never seen before. Judgmental people, which I know many of, should watch this and hopefully think twice the next time they decide to be rotten and unfriendly.
I'm back from New York. It was everything I thought it would be and more. Despite the unwelcoming weather conditions, we managed to go out soaking in every bit of the city and the rain. We stayed at Hotel Grand Union on east 32nd street, with no frills but it was clean. Midtown Manhattan made it easy to go uptown to the museums and downtown to shop and walk about more casually through metro 6. Metro 6 is great. Times Square, Herald Square, and 5th ave were all very close. Guggenheim and Moma was valuable, but I had anticipated for the Metropolitan more. I should have researched beforehand to know they were closed on Mondays. All the more reason for me to revisit next time right?
"For stay or to go?"
I stumbled numerous times when I was asked 'for stay or to go' and still managed to reply 'for here.' Might as well have said I'm a tourist!
Every other person I overheard spoke French. The architecture was fascinating. The streets were always consumed with people walking in all directions, something I never see enough of at home. The subway system is so convenient. If only California's public transportation was like that I would not need a car. Walking everywhere took a toll on my feet, but I would not have it any other way. It's so nice to walk. I would take an internship in NY in a heartbeat.
And you can only imagine our mentally awkward encounters with PULL doors as we tried to PUSH for most of them if not all.
Next stop, Europe.

Sometimes
the only
people that
can give me
genuine
happiness
is my family.
the only
people that
can give me
genuine
happiness
is my family.
When I'm feeling my worst or feeling my best, I want to run to my mom, dad, sister and hug them. I have their reassuring support in everything I do, and even when my occasional doubt looms in and out, they remind me that everything will be okay. I know this is what a family is for, and I'm just so grateful for mine. If only they can live forever, healthy and happy, will I be ultimately satiated. But I know no one lives forever so I will hope they live healthy and happy and love them for as long as I can.
