Used books

Those moments when I'm reading a used book and come across notes and 
markings made by the previous owner make me smile. Sometimes, they've underlined 
and noted the same thing I would have. It kind of becomes like this little insight and 
understanding into a stranger's thoughts...also the simple fact that we read the same 
book is a fun perception in itself.

There were some majestic clouds out today. I wonder if anyone else noticed. The really 

good ones weren't captured as I was driving, but wow I was looking up, right, left, this 

way and that the whole time I was out. Never moved my neck so much to look at clouds.

Iced Vanilla Latte

So my love, or addiction, depends on how you want to look at it, for iced vanilla lattes 

still lives. Just something about them makes me happy, whether I've had a bad day or not. 

I go to Coffee Code way too much, I almost feel bad, embarrassed, and awkward walking 

in every morning, but their lattes are so good. Alfred's also has really good lattes. 

I think they use Stumptown beans? If that's the case, I've got to go straight to the source 

and visit Stumptown's cafe. Go Get Em Tiger is good too, but they don't have flavored 

syrups, just a "sweetened" option. I don't mind. 

I am such a creature of habit. I know what I like, and if I like something, I can eat 

or drink it all the time. Then, after a long while, I will slowly venture into other 

options but even so fall back to my first amore.

Be secretly incredible

Finished reading Love Does by Bob Goff today...it is a very good read. He puts 
his experiences and circumstances into perspective that comes across so clear, 
easy to understand, and fresh—so much love and inspiration.

Again, I am amazed and grateful. I have been feeling much animosity towards 

someone, something that I am not used to. It takes so much for me to lose my 

patience and understanding, but I was losing it the past couple of days, especially 

yesterday. Today, I came across Ephesians 4:26-27:

26 And "don't sin by letting anger control you." 

Don't let the sun go down while you are still angry, 

27 for anger gives a foothold to the devil.

I had to share this with my friend as she was muddled with animosity as well. 

She too shared a message she read today talking about forgiveness, love, and not 

hating on others. And just like that, our minds were cleared and our hearts at peace.

I love flavors and spices - the more the merrier. I love all kinds of food from all around the world. 

Greek food is among my favorites, though I think everything is "my favorite" when it comes 

to food. Kentro in downtown Fullerton has delicious Greek food. Their lamb flatbread is always so good.

Visited a newly opened cafe, Verve, in downtown Los Angeles. I'm absolutely in 

love with their green wall filled with luscious green plants. This place was brimming 

with people from the moment we arrived to the time we left. Luckily, we found 

seats upon arrival.
