The Piña Colada Song

This song will never be the same. I've heard this song many times throughout my life, 
thinking it was just a song about gathering people who like piña coladas to come 
hang out at some beach to drink piña coladas together. Completely wrong, I was.  

If you listen to the lyrics from beginning to end, there's a really cute story being told. 
Such a light-hearted and silly story, I can't believe I didn't know this earlier. I heard 
this song too many times, I was so sure it was just about people who really liked 
piña coladas. I am feeling quite amused today all because I decided to actually listen 
to the lyrics of some song I thought I knew. This all went down on my way to work 
in traffic. I was zoning out to this song and after taking a moment to register what 
I had just heard, I felt incredibly stupefied. 

Not a bad Monday at all.
