Ode to eggs
Often times when I'm eating an egg, I think why are you so good? I have loved eggs
since I can remember eating one, and have always loved them. I like the whole
thing too—not just the white part or the yolk, the whole thing. I remember as a child,
I loved the yolk so much, my family would let me eat all of their yolk. Growing up
I've noticed a lot of people do not like the yolk...you know, calories, cholesterol, the
consistency, the thought of a baby chick, but I loved it regardless. I like them cooked all
sorts of ways as well. Fried, sunny side up, over easy, scrambled, hard boiled, poached,
you name it, I love it. I love them so much, I just had to express it through a post.
Actually, I think my lunch from today triggered this. I had spicy garlic cheese fries,
and it came with a perfect sunny side up egg on top—hm, french fries and egg,
pretty good combination.

Modern Calligraphy
After three months of waiting, I finally got to take the modern calligraphy workshop
with Jina. It was a lot of fun. The three hour workshop went by so fast, which is
both good and sad. After lunch and the workshop, we met up another friend I haven't
seen in a while and headed towards an old neighborhood Jina and I were all too familiar
with—Marina Del Rey. I tried Sugarfish for the first time. It was so good. We were going
to get Philz afterward but last minute decided on Urth. Driving through Abbot Kinney
and Main brought so many memories from my years at Otis. It's hard to believe it's
been 3 years since we've graduated. Well, Jina and I've got some plans for our future,
which I'm excited about. It's going to be a nice change.
Whoohoo!

Where did winter go? It's officially going to be spring on March 20th. I feel like just when it
started getting chilly, the California heat came running in. I say this a lot with my friends, but
I don't think I belong in Southern California. Hot weather drives me crazy. I dread the thought
of summer here. It definitely doesn't help that my body is naturally more warm than the average
person. Where would I go? I wish I could hop around the world according to seasons. I'd be
living in winter all year round if I could.
Well, so long SoCal winter, your short lived presence will be dearly missed by me, Laura.
So much so that I will be that crazy girl wearing jumpers and black skinnies in 80-90 degree
weather. Yep, you'll see. I've done it before, and I'll do it again.
