It's almost been a year since I've graduated college (2.5 months shy).
To think how afraid and stressed I was around this time, a year ago, makes me that much more
appreciative of where I'm at today. As scary as it was, it's all part of the process of growing up, right?
Minty fresh, out of college, I was clueless. Clueless of where to go, what to do,
how to start, and if I even wanted a job in my degree. But of course,
everything happened...so gracefully. I can't complain. For a while, during the first couple weeks
of my first job, I realized that this is life. You work, eat, and sleep—it's a continuous cycle.
No more vacation, no more tests, it's just work all year round. I'm sure everyone thinks about this
around the time they begin their first full time job after college, but it was
just so, so eye-opening for me. It all made sense after that, you need to love your job,
enjoy it at least a little. If not, your life will feel quite miserable, and no one
wants to feel miserable. I'm still figuring things out, but for now, things are good,
I learn something new every day, and this is where I'm at. I'm thankful I have a job,
I live with the best sister in the world (and by best I truly mean the best, so great,
I sometimes feel her love is not reciprocated by me...definitely need to work on that),
wonderful, loving family, and great friends. What more can I possibly ask for!
Maybe to travel...but that can always happen later, because I know I'm going to
make it happen. And on that note, isn't this scenery beautiful?

I got a dog.

I've only waited 23 years of my life, and I finally have him, Basil.
My mom being a borderline ocd clean freak, I was denied a dog for 23 years, no matter what I offered,
be it straight A's or buying one with my own money. Now that I've moved out,
my chances jumped 80%, but it still took some sweet talking...and 12 shelter visits after, I brought Basil home.
Couldn't be happier.
It's strange because I had this epiphany when I was dog sitting my sister's boss's dog.
I remember thinking "This is what I'm missing in my life!!! A dog". I do believe my life has gotten better
and only better as the years pass. I'm thankful for many, many things.
I just can't believe what a difference having a dog makes, period. For those of you who've grown up
with dogs your whole lives, you guys are a lucky bunch, also with stronger immune systems. After that weekend,
I was determined to adopt from a shelter. And visiting these shelters was an experience in and of itself.
I would do it all over again, to bring Basil home. Now it's going to be me and him, until I'm 35.
Oh yeahhhhh...

Kennel #300? The number 3 is my favorite number. Hm.

The day I brought him home.

Experimental Typography, Sr year.

I made up a word—Zheupt [zoopt].

Meaning

1. doomed
2. the misfortune of overload in activity
3. state of overwhelmingly being actively and attentively engaged in work
4. chancy in the realm of the atypical
5. hauntingly beautiful

At the time, I felt doomed and overwhelmed by the never ending workload, hence the meaning
I gave to zheupt. Today, I am full from all the food I ate.

Finally moved to an apartment, and I am loving it.
My only wish now is for a dog (french bulldog, greyhound, or both) and consistent fall weather.

Excuse the pixelation...
I watched a documentary on the Klitschko brothers today and thoroughly enjoyed it!
(Wladimir Klitschko to the left, Vitali Klitschko on the right)
They're intelligent, extremely tall, chess playing, Ukrainian, world champion boxers.
Boxing is definitely not my cup of tea, but these guys are impressive.
Cute would be the last word I'd use to describe them, but Vitali being such a great older brother
and their bond so strong, it's...cute.

Recently ordered from ASOS for the first time in which I've realized over the
grueling process of waiting how impatient I am when it comes to online shopping. Honestly speaking,
I'm patient with everything else but online shopping! So strange.
Sometimes(actually all the time but I can't since I need to carry my laptop charger, mouse, food, notebook, etc.
with me most of the time), I don't feel like carrying a large tote...miniature bags are so refreshing!
I also notice the monochromatic theme in my pictures...that was not intentional.

I remember watching this video and thinking, "...her style is perfection", and I still do.

Never have enough pillow covers...
so I leave them...like that.

Breakfast at Brownstone was so good,
I want another round of stuffed french toast with strawberries,
right now.

Strolling around Chinatown in Los Angeles.

Lately, I've been obsessed with avocado and toast.
Add a dash of salt and pepper, drizzle on that olive oil, and voila! So simple yet so delicious.
Oh, don't forget the hot sauce for the finishing touch!

I have this thing where at least one part of my outfit must be casual.
I never liked the feeling of being fancy from head to toe. I actually like the look of pairing
dressy with casual pieces—enter photo above from one of my favorite blogs.
I adore this look—a pencil skirt (usually the only type of skirts I wear) paired with a simple,
loose, basic top—beautiful.

I love everything about her outfit.
Simple summer days with Susie
I love it.
